Yema - 2020 Navygraph Heritage

WHAT WE LOVE:

Yema is a French watch brand founded in 1948, and one of the few companies outside Switzerland that has genuinely earned its place in the serious dive watch conversation. In the 1960s and 1970s, Yema's Navygraf was a legitimate working diver's instrument — robust, well-specified, and trusted by professionals who needed a watch rather than a status symbol. The YNAV2019-AMS is the Heritage reissue of that original, and it gets the balance between period-accurate design and modern specification exactly right.

The most immediately distinctive detail of the Navygraf Heritage is its hour indices — the "exclamation point" markers that defined the original Navygraf. The yellow central seconds hand provides a single point of colour accent against the blacked-out dial, carried over from the original and entirely period-correct.

The sapphire bezel insert carries a 0-60 coating scale on a unidirectional rotating mechanism. The 39mm brushed 316L stainless steel case with its screwed crown and 300-metre rating is built to a standard that meaningfully exceeds what the Navygraf's price point
