Beautifully handcrafted in New Zealand, by Black Bear Knives. Starting from a billet of steel, ground and profiled by hand and heat-treated in house. Around 20-30 hours are spent by the maker on each knife, every detail refined to produce a truly one-of-a-kind piece, to last a lifetime of use.
An excellent general purpose chef's knife, typically used for slicing vegetables, meat etc, fine dicing and carving.

Use and Care:
- Do not attempt to cut, hit or chop frozen products or bones. The blade can chip or break.
- Hand wash with warm water and towel dry.
- Occasionally wipe down with a dab of food-safe mineral oil or olive oil. Wipe off excess.
- Use sharpening steel to hone the edge after heavy use. If the blade is dulled, use a water or oil stone to restore the edge. The cutting edge is 30 degrees. You can also send it back to the maker for proper sharpening at no expense.
- Do not use a dishwasher to clean your knife.
