WHAT WE LOVE:
The Rolex Submariner Ref. 14060M is the final evolution of the classic no-date Submariner before Rolex transitioned to the Super Case generation. Produced from 2001 until 2012, the 14060M refines everything collectors love about vintage Submariners while incorporating modern upgrades — making it the perfect "neo-vintage" dive watch.
This 2008 example features a 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with drilled lugs, a black aluminium bezel insert, and a two-liner gloss black dial with Super-LumiNova — all markers of the transitional period in Rolex’s dive watch history. The no-date dial ensures a symmetrical, uncluttered aesthetic, while the domed sapphire crystal and unguarded layout keep the look unmistakably Sub.
The Oyster bracelet, reference 93150 with fliplock clasp and solid end links (SELs), completes the package. Combined with its box and papers, this example represents one of the last purist Submariners before Rolex’s shift to bulkier designs and ceramic bezels.
WHAT’S INSIDE:
This reference is powered by the Rolex Caliber 3130, a COSC-certified automatic movement known for its durability and accuracy. Unlike earlier no-date Subs, the 14060M features a hacking seconds and Parachrom hairspring, enhancing time-setting precision and shock resistance. With a 48-hour power reserve and 28,800 vph beat rate, the movement is as reliable as they come — a true workhorse within Rolex’s lineup.
