WHAT WE LOVE:

The Rolex Turn-O-Graph is a very important model in Rolex History. The precursor to the Rolex Submariner, it was only the second model in Rolex history to feature a rotating timing bezel. It was the second Rolex model to use the now iconic 'Mercedes' hour hand. Later references of the Turn-O-Graph would turn out the first Two-Tone Sports Rolex and it was also the first Rolex model to get given an unofficial nickname with later Turn-O-Graphs often being referred to as 'Thunderbirds' for the use of the watch by the United States Airforce Aerobatics team.

The number of 6202 Turn-O-Graphs produced was estimated to be fewer than 1000 and many have not made it 70 years from production to today. The importance of the watch to Rolex and its design language should not be understated.
