WHAT WE LOVE:
This 1970s Citizen may be a very credible alternative to a vintage Seiko diver for sure, but this model has so much more going for it than just being a mere ‘alternative'. Consider for a start, the size; at 40mm the Challenge Diver wears in a very modern way but then note all the great vintage details, the great blocky indices, and the beautifully faded bezel insert. This model is often referred to as the 'barnacle' watch, as one of these was found with sea life encrusted on its case after half a decade submerged beneath the waves. Amazingly, it was still working fine.
