WHAT WE LOVE:
Immediately looking at the Uno U1 GMT Limited Edition, we see an elevated style that differs from Unimatic's other legendary releases. The U1 GMT features some amazingly subtle standouts, a dissonance many know only works with Unimatics. The matte black bezel contrasts nicely to the white hands and indices, importantly making the 24-hour increments a softer grey, popping out the beautiful white features on the dial. The mono-directional bezel functions well for tracking time, and interestingly, the distinct sound made by the rotation chirps quite nicely, described as 'tickling the brain' by one of our regulars.
Unimatic is the king of contrast: so many functions yet so simple, not heavy yet so industrial. Speaking to some of the functions, this piece has a 41-hour power reserve, an Alchemical Sun 8mm screw-down crown, a double-domed sapphire case, a grey tapered quick-release rubber strap, and an anti-reflective lens.
The U4 has a decently large crown with a screw-down function. The case back features +/- Italian time for many capitals around the world, emphasising GMT practicality. Get it while you can!

Interestingly, running the Unimatic U4 is an Automatic calibre Seiko NH34A 21600bph GMT, the reliable workhorse for an automatic GMT watch.
