Where the black dial Black Bay GMT reads as a tool watch that happens to look good, the opaline version reads as something more versatile: a watch that carries the same credentials but wears them with considerably more elegance.
Tudor describes the dial as silvery, with a slight warmth that shifts depending on the light. Produced through a galvanic process, the matte finish has depth rather than brilliance, and the darkened surrounds on the applied markers create a contrast that gives the dial visual structure without relying on the stark black-on-white formula. Against the matte burgundy and blue "Pepsi" bezel the combination is immediately recognisable as Black Bay GMT while feeling entirely different from the standard black dial variant.
