The Tudor Style is a dress watch proposition from a brand that built its reputation on sport watches — and it is a more considered proposal than the collection's position in Tudor's range might suggest. Introduced in 2014 at Baselworld, the Style was Tudor's answer to the question of what a 38mm round-case dress watch with a proper mechanical movement should look like when it carries the same attention to case finishing that the Black Bay received. The double bezel — alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces that catch light across two separate planes simultaneously — is the Style's defining case element, and it gives the watch a visual complexity that no single-finish bezel achieves.
The black dial with its applied baton indices and polished hands reads with a quiet authority that suits the watch's character entirely — no date aperture disrupts the dial symmetry on this configuration, no numerals compete with the clean index layout, and the absence of complication text allows the dial to be exactly what it is: a round black surface framed by well-executed case architecture. The sapphire crystal, the screw-down crown, and 100-metre water resistance place the Style firmly above standard dress watch specifications.
