WHAT WE LOVE:
This Omega x Swatch Moonswatch 'Polar Lights' was recently released on the 15th of June, and may be among some of the first available here in New Zealand.
Truly distinctive with its Bioceramic case, crown, and pushers in a vibrant turquoise hue, complemented by a blue velcro strap highlighted by turquoise stitching. The dark blue dial shimmers with tiny silver-coloured sparkles reminiscent of aventurine glass, each arranged uniquely on every model, ensuring each watch has a one-of-a-kind dial. Turquoise hands grace the dial, while recessed sub-dials feature white rings and Arabic numerals in a radial layout, paying homage to the Speedmaster Alaska II and III projects.
A turquoise tachymeter scale adorns the blue bezel, and all dials in the collection proudly display the OMEGA X Swatch branding, the iconic Speedmaster logo, and the MoonSwatch logo. The watch's design is unified across all models with bio-sourced glass in a box shape, an etched "S" at the centre, a sophisticated circular pattern on the dial's outer ring and sub-dials, angular and smooth lugs, and the iconic "dot over 90" detail on the tachymeter scale. The Bioceramic material gives each watch a unique tactile feel.
For visibility in low light, the hour markers, minute hand, and tip of the chronograph seconds hand glow with Super-LumiNova® in green emission, ensuring a clear and luminous display even in the dark.
