Created to celebrate Seiko’s 145th anniversary, the Prospex HBC005J is a limited edition diver, with only 4,000 pieces produced worldwide. It pays tribute to the enduring legacy of Seiko Blue, a signature colour that has defined the brand since the 1960s. The silver white dial is paired with a striking blue seconds hand and matching blue bezel insert, creating a crisp, refined aesthetic that feels both contemporary and unmistakably Seiko.
Its case design draws inspiration from Japan’s first diver’s watch of 1965, bringing together vintage character and modern capability in a compact 40.0mm stainless steel case. The proportions are exceptionally wearable, while the curved sapphire crystal adds a premium finishing touch. LumiBrite on the hands, indexes and bezel ensures excellent legibility in all conditions.
Built as a true professional diver, the watch offers 300m water resistance and is fitted with a robust three fold clasp featuring a secure lock, push button release, solid construction and slide adjuster. With its blend of heritage inspired design, anniversary significance and practical diving credentials, the HBC005J is a standout addition to the Prospex collection.
WHAT'S INSIDE:
Powering the watch is Seiko’s Caliber 6R55 automatic movement with manual winding capability. Featuring 24 jewels, a stop seconds function and an impressive power reserve of approximately 72 hours, it delivers reliable everyday performance with an accuracy rating of +25 to -15 seconds per day.
