The Seiko Presmatic Line was introduced in 1969, an important year for Seiko that also saw them introduce one of the first Automatic Chronographs ever along with the Astron, their first Quartz Watch. Slightly crowded out by all this competition was the Presmatic, which used a highly accurate high beat movement that made the line one of Seiko's more upmarket offerings.
