King Seiko, the inhouse competition for Grand Seiko was phased out by Seiko in the 1970s which all but crowned Grand Seiko the winner between the two rival high-end Seiko Manufacturers. This should not diminish what King Seiko achieved, however, and collectors understand that the two brands are more alike than they are different. This King Seiko demonstrates some world-class dial manufacturing with such carefully built applied hour markers around the dial.
