The Seiko ‘Tuna’ has long occupied a special role in the Japanese brand's portfolio of dive watches. As it was originally conceived, a replaceable plastic or metallic ‘shroud’ would protect the watches internals as it might be knocked around in the course of diving. Over the 5 decades that Seiko has produced ‘Tuna’ models, they have used the best movements the brand has to offer in their ‘King Tuna’, which is why for this example they have opted for a Grand Seiko Spring Drive calibre for ultimate accuracy. It is also interesting to note that Grand Seiko divers tend to be depth rated to 200M and this is depth rated to 600M.
