WHAT WE LOVE:

The Seiko SKX013 is, without much argument, the best value dive watch ever produced. The smaller sibling of the legendary SKX007, it occupies a 38mm case — the sweet spot for wearers who found the 42mm SKX007 too large for daily comfort — and delivers the same Calibre 7S26 movement, the same 200-metre ISO-certified dive specification, the same unidirectional bezel, and the same offset crown-at-4 o'clock design in a case that fits naturally under a shirt cuff and against a wide range of wrist sizes.

The LumiBrite lume on the hands and markers remains among the most practically effective dive watch luminescence at any price, and the offset crown with its twin crown guards is a design detail that has aged far better than most of its contemporaries. This example has been recently serviced, confirming it is running well. The date wheel shows some fading on select numerals, consistent with typical age-related wear on this calibre's date display.
