Seiko - 1976 Quartz ‘Hammered’

WHAT WE LOVE:

A couple of years back Grand Seiko released a limited edition model in Platinum with a beaten metal effect over the case that is reminiscent of how Japanese knives can often be finished. That watch retailed somewhere around the $50,000 mark and it inspired me to find something similar available at a friendlier price. This was what I came across, in a great size for modern tastes and using one of the more comfortable bracelets I’ve had the pleasure to wear.
