WHAT WE LOVE:
One of the earliest Rolex Wristwatches, these ‘Trench’ watches were made popular in the first world war era as soldiers realised the impracticality of pocketwatches in trench warfare.
Curiously, Rolex is not featured on the dial but only on the movement because before 1915 Rolex as we know it today was originally called Wilsdorf and Davis and the brand was based in the United Kingdom until 1920 before its migration to Geneva.
