The 168623 is the mid-size 35mm two-tone "Rolesor" variant — introduced in 2000 as an upgrade from the earlier 68623, featuring solid 18K yellow gold centre bracelet links in place of the previous hollow links — and it has become one of the most elegant Rolex references throughout the catalogue.
The blue sunburst dial against the 18K yellow gold bezel and the steel/gold Oyster bracelet is the colour combination that makes the 168623 so compelling. The warm gold of the bidirectional rotating bezel — with its raised and polished 60-minute graduation — creates a contrast against the deep blue. At 35mm the watch wears with a compactness, and the Calibre 2235 movement inside carries the Superlative Chronometer standard that applies across the entire Rolex range.
