WHAT WE LOVE:
By the time of this watches production in 1991, the 'Cola Wars' between Pepsi and Coke and all but wound to a close with Coke being the victor. A seperate but similar skirmish has always played out between enthusiasts of the Rolex GMT Master and in that battle, it was the Pepsi that had won.
The 'Coke' configuration was introduced only in 1983 whereas the 'Pepsi' had been inaugurated into the catalogue in 1955, the Coke had nearly three decades to catch up on its brother and was discontinued in the mid 2000s. Since then we have not seen a new version of the Coke GMT and their popularity has only grown since.
This 1991 example is in good shape for its age, with evidence of light polishing and at least one trip to the Rolex Service Centre under its belt.
