In September 1962, President Kennedy said to the American public that they chose to go to the moon, and then they did and they wore Omega Speedmasters while doing it. Only a few weeks after the speech was made Walter Schirra wore his personal Speedmaster into space as part of the Mercury Programme and this model is a very respectful homage to that model, the CK2998.
