WHAT WE LOVE:

The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, reference 310.30.42.50.01.002, is an iconic chronograph with an extraordinary place in watchmaking history, having accompanied all six moon landings. This 2024 model captures the character of the fourth generation Speedmaster worn on the moon, combining timeless proportions with refined modern finishing.

Its matte black stepped dial features subtle grained texture, an applied Omega logo, enlarged Speedmaster lettering, and three recessed sub dials with fine concentric detailing. The running seconds sits at 9 o'clock, the 30 minute recorder at 3 o'clock, and the 12 hour recorder at 6 o'clock. The hands feature luminous detailing, while the black anodised aluminium tachymeter bezel retains the distinctive Dot Over 90, a detail cherished by collectors.

The 42 mm stainless steel asymmetrical case features twisted lugs, protective shoulders around the crown and pushers, and a combination of polished and brushed surfaces. It is presented on a polished and brushed five arched links per row bracelet with a vintage inspired taper, finished with a foldover clasp with comfort setting. Water resistance is 5 bar, 50 metres, 165 feet. Sapphire crystal is fitted to both the front and caseback, offering exceptional scratch resistance and clarity. 

WHAT'S INSIDE:

At its heart is the Omega Co Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, a manual winding chronograph movement certified to the Master Chronometer standard for exceptional precision and performance. It powers the central chronograph function, small seconds, 30 minute recorder and 12 hour recorder, and provides a 50 hour power reserve. The movement operates at 21,600 vph, 3 Hz, and features a hacking seconds function for precise time setting
