WHAT WE LOVE:
The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph 232.30.46.51.01.003 is a beast of a watch in all the best ways. With a commanding 45.5mm stainless steel case, bold proportions, and a deep black dial, this reference means business both underwater and on land.
The Planet Ocean line takes the Seamaster’s dive heritage and turns it up a notch — delivering 600 meters of water resistance, a helium escape valve, and an in-house Co-Axial chronograph movement with a column wheel. The ceramic bezel insert and glossy dial give it a polished, modern feel, but make no mistake: this is a tool watch through and through.
For those who want a serious dive chronograph with Omega’s best modern tech — and the presence to match — this reference delivers in spades. It wears large, feels premium, and performs with precision.
WHAT'S INSIDE:
At the heart of the watch is the Omega Co-Axial Caliber 9300, an automatic chronograph movement with column wheel, Si14 silicon balance spring, and a 60-hour power reserve. This movement was one of Omega’s first fully in-house chronograph calibers and features a dual-register layout with central chronograph seconds and a stacked 12-hour / 60-minute totaliser at 3 o'clock.
