This retro-cool Omega is named for the quiet but audible 300Hz humming sound its tuning fork movement makes, and not the military-spec vehicle favoured by a certain Austrian/American film star.

WHAT’S INSIDE:

In the 1970s, tuning fork movements, notably exemplified by the Bulova Accutron, revolutionized watch technology with their high accuracy and smooth sweep second hands. Operating on the principle of a vibrating tuning fork powered by a battery, these movements offered exceptional precision, surpassing traditional mechanical counterparts. They provided a reliable timekeeping basis with deviations of only a few seconds per day, making them popular choices for their accuracy and distinct aesthetic appeal.
