WHAT WE LOVE:
The Nivada Grenchen Chronoking Mecaquartz Interchangeable Bezel is one of the more interesting modern interpretations of vintage chronographs — not just because of its design, but because of how interactive it is.
At its core, it captures the spirit of late 1960s–1970s motorsport chronographs: compact case, busy dial, and bold colour accents. The matte black dial with orange highlights — particularly the orange chronograph seconds hand and hour markers — gives it a strong, functional aesthetic that feels true to the era without being overly nostalgic.
What sets this reference apart is the interchangeable bezel system. Supplied with four additional bezels, the watch can be completely reconfigured depending on how you want to wear it — GMT for travel, tachymeter for timing, or simply to change the overall look. It is not just a design feature; it fundamentally changes how the watch is experienced day to day. That level of modularity is rare, especially at this level, and gives it a genuinely playful edge while still being rooted in tool-watch functionality.
WHAT’S INSIDE:
At its core is a mecaquartz chronograph movement (Seiko VK67 family), combining quartz timekeeping with a mechanical chronograph module. This allows for the snap-back reset and tactile feel of a mechanical chronograph, while maintaining the reliability and accuracy of quartz.
