WHAT WE LOVE:

MWC — the Military Watch Company — was founded in Zürich in 1974 and has spent five decades supplying robust, no-nonsense watches to military forces, police units, anti-terrorist organisations, and government agencies around the world.

The ceramic bezel insert provides a scratch resistance that operational use demands. Aluminium bezels scratch visibly from routine contact with equipment, ropes, and surfaces; ceramic does not. The shatter-resistant sapphire crystal carries the same logic: operational environments are hard on watch crystals, and sapphire resists scratching in a way that mineral glass cannot. The 40mm stainless steel case — 45mm including the crown — is built to the tool watch standard that MWC's military procurement clients specify.

WHAT’S INSIDE:

This MWC is powered by the Ronda 715li — a Swiss-made quartz movement specified by MWC for its combination of high accuracy, and a hacking function.
