Powering the HKF003J is Seiko Calibre 8L45, an automatic movement with manual winding, developed for the performance and robustness expected of a modern mechanical sports watch. It delivers an impressive approximate 72 hour, 3 day power reserve and an accuracy of +10 to -5 seconds per day. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 8 beats per second, the 35 jewel movement also features a stop second hand function and date display.
