WHAT WE LOVE:

The King Seiko VANAC SLA083J brings the spirit of the original 1972 VANAC into a striking contemporary form, inspired by the ever changing colours of the Tokyo horizon. Its purple dial, accented with rich gold tones, features a refined horizontal stripe pattern and a dedicated ring carrying the indexes. The 12 o’clock index and seconds hand counterweight echo the distinctive silhouette of the letter V, a subtle signature of the VANAC collection.

The angular stainless steel case appears carved from a solid block of metal, yet its bezel less design gives it an elegant, streamlined presence. Advanced polishing creates a distortion free mirror finish, producing dramatic highlights and shadows across the case. Measuring 41mm in diameter, it is paired with a newly developed bracelet combining mirror and hairline finishing for a luxurious appearance and comfortable fit. The box shaped sapphire crystal has an anti reflective coating on the inner surface, while LumiBrite on the hands and indexes ensures clear legibility. A deployment clasp with push button release completes the bracelet.

The sapphire crystal case back reveals the King Seiko shield and marks the first see through case back for the collection since its 2022 relaunch. With 10 bar water resistance, the VANAC balances distinctive design, refined finishing and everyday versatility.

WHAT'S INSIDE:

At its heart is Seiko Calibre 8L45, an automatic mechanical movement with manual winding, developed for the performance and reliability expected of a modern mechanical sports watch. It delivers an approximate 72 hour power reserve and an accuracy of +10 to −5 seconds per day.

Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement contains 35 jewels and features a stop seconds function and date display. Its rotor and bridges are finished with exquisite wave patterns, bringing functional beauty and a refined sense of luxury to the movement.
