WHAT WE LOVE:
The IWC GST Range sadly no longer exists. GST standing for ‘Gold, Steel and Titanium’ was an opportunity for IWC to flex their horological muscles, producing a range of highly complicated watches across the three metals. This GST Chronograph from the early 2000s uses a movement that IWC heavily modified in the 1990s with the help of Richard Harbring who went on to found his own brand specialising in mechanical chronographs. The Rattrapante complication allows for the tracking and timing of two events simultaneously through a ‘splitting’ chronograph hand. Now quite rare and we think under-appreciated it is our hope that IWC might decide to revive the GST line, but for now, we happily present this special watch for sale.
