WHAT WE LOVE:

The IWC Big Pilot has a fascinating history, initially conceived as a navigator and pilots watch for the German Luftwaffe it has an inarguably notorious past. But like the Volkswagen Beetle, Hugo Boss and Fanta it has carefully managed to pivot and profit from its Nazi origins and has conquered the world, unlike that dork Hitler. This is the most recent iteration of the Big Pilot, which is slightly less big than its older brother from the early 2000s and a lot less big than the Big Pilots watches of the 1940s. At 43mm it is, however, no shrinking violet, but rather a more accessible design from the wearing and buying standpoint.
