Gruen - Precision 510 1952

WHAT WE LOVE:

Small by today's standards, but the Gruen Precision has a "wrist presence" that belies its 34mm diameter. The dial layout is strong with the applied gold indices mirroring the case.  The crystal is significantly domed which adds to the aforementioned presence. 

The Gruen Precision lettering and the cross-hair seconds sub-dial are steel coloured in a subtle contrast which sets the whole piece off nicely. So, even though it's 34mm with a sub-dial, it doesn't look small or cramped, in fact, the dial is well-proportioned and manages to look spacious. Quite the feat.
