Released in 2022, this reference updates the fan-favourite SBGM221 formula with a sportier, contemporary aesthetic — most notably through its deep olive green sunburst dial and contrasting orange GMT hand.
Sized at 39.5mm with a compact lug-to-lug span, the SBGM247 is highly wearable for a range of wrist sizes. The applied indices and razor-sharp dauphine hands reflect Grand Seiko’s signature finishing, while the dial shifts from forest green to golden brown depending on the light — offering a warm, natural tone rarely seen in travel watches.
Unlike traditional GMTs, the SBGM247 uses a “true GMT” movement, meaning the local hour hand is independently adjustable — an ideal feature for frequent travellers. Paired with a stainless steel bracelet and 100m of water resistance, this is a GMT built for versatility.
