According to Grand Seiko, this watches design was directly influenced by moss, the green fuzzy stuff on rocks. Now I can appreciate the artisanship and love for the craft that Grand Seiko embodies, the watches are magnificent and reliable. But sometimes it is enough to make a watch that looks good and provides a useful additional feature without letting their customer know they've taken their inspiration from a small non-vascular flowerless plant.
