WHAT WE LOVE:

In 2014 Jaguar asked Bremont to create some dashboard clocks for a concept car, a British watchmaker teaming up with a British car company. The synergy made sense and lead to a further collaboration in this watch, designed to pay homage to the lightweight Jaguar E-Type sports car.

Bremont created a wristwatch that would capture the spirit of the E-Type and carry forward the design cues from the dashboard clock. The result was the Bremont Jaguar MKI which was unveiled in 2015. These timepieces take inspiration from the RPM gauge (tachometer) of the Lightweight E-Type, including a similar color scheme, style of numerals, and a 'red line' quadrant between three and four o'clock.

There are a lot of lovely details in the watch, including the tyre tread crown and beautiful in-house movement occupying the caseback with the rotor weight decorated to look like the E-Type steering wheel.
