Baaz - NZ Assembled ‘UFO’ Watch

WHAT WE LOVE:

BAAZ is a strange beast, a product of a time and place that we are unlikely to see again. Swiss Made, at least according to the dial, but that is only a description of the individual components of the watch, not the watch itself; the watch itself was assembled here in New Zealand. The driving motivation for this was entirely economic, the tariff on importing ‘watches' was high, the tariff for importing ‘watch parts' was low and thus the decision was made to assemble here in New Zealand to keep costs low. This model is very cool and very 70's, part of the ergonomic design fad that brought you watches like the Patek Philippe Ellipse and the Omega Dynamic.
