A regulator watch is a type of timepiece where the minute hand typically occupies the central position on the main dial, while the hour and second hands are displayed on smaller subdials. The term "regulator" originated from the precise timekeeping instruments used by watchmakers to regulate or adjust the accuracy of mechanical watches. This design allows for easy and precise reading of each unit of time individually.

WHAT'S INSIDE:

This Alpina is powered by the ETA Calibre 6498-1, essentially a pocket watch movement modified for wristwatch use. It beats at a steady 18,800 beats per hour, allowing greater longevity and a power reserve of 46 hours.
