The Panerai Luminor PAM00372 is one of the most faithful tributes to the brand’s vintage military roots — a modern classic that channels the bold minimalism of 1950s Italian Navy divers. With its oversized 47mm cushion-shaped case, prominent crown guard, and clean “sandwich” dial, the 372 is a pure expression of Panerai DNA.
Crafted from polished stainless steel and featuring a domed Plexiglas crystal (a deliberate nod to the vintage originals), the watch exudes warmth and authenticity. The matte black dial is iconic Panerai — no date, no seconds, just luminous cut-out numerals and baton markers at the quarters. The warmth of the ecru Super-LumiNova adds to the vintage feel, while the open caseback allows a full view of the manually-wound movement within.
Worn on a thick brown leather strap with large contrast stitching, the PAM00372 is unapologetically bold, but surprisingly comfortable thanks to the short lugs and curved case profile.
WHAT’S INSIDE:
Powering the 372 is Panerai’s in-house Calibre P.3000 — a manually-wound movement with a 72-hour power reserve, large bridges, and twin barrels. It’s visible through the sapphire caseback, offering a nicely finished industrial aesthetic that fits the watch’s utilitarian character. While simple in function, the movement is robust, accurate, and easy to service.
