The Omega De Ville Chronograph Ref. 145.017 is an example of late 1960s watchmaking, showcasing Omega’s dedication to design and precision. Introduced in 1968, this bi-compax chronograph stands out for its balanced proportions and sophistication.

Housed in a 35mm stainless steel case with sharp beveled lugs and a screw-down caseback, the watch offers a comfortable and timeless presence on the wrist. The matte black dial features two recessed sub-dials: a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a running seconds display at 9 o’clock. Applied baton hour markers and slim sword hands, ensure legibility while maintaining a clean aesthetic. Completing the watch is a 19mm leather strap, paired with an Omega buckle.

WHAT’S INSIDE:

Powering the timepiece is Omega’s manual-winding Caliber 860, a movement derived from the Caliber 320 and a precursor to the famed Caliber 861 used in the Speedmaster. With approximately 10,000 units produced, the Caliber 860 is notably rarer than its successor, adding to the watch’s collectibility.
