WHAT WE LOVE:

These models are a knockout, the follow up to the Omega Speedmaster, a watch designed with motor racing in mind, the Flightmaster was designed to appeal to pilots, down to the engraved Douglas DC-8 engraved in the caseback. They are large and packed to the brim with features useful to pilots, a Chronograph of course, but also an internal rotating timing bezel and independently set hand for tracking another time zone.

WHAT’S INSIDE:

The Flightmaster we have here uses Omega's manual winding calibre 910, based on the famous calibre 861 used in the Moon-going Speedmasters, itself based on the Lemania 1873. A chronograph packed with extra functions like a GMT hand and 24-hour indicator, it is surprising to see a decent 44-hour power reserve and a mere 17 jewels used in the structure.
