Rolex - 1999 Submariner Date 16610

WHAT WE LOVE:

The Rolex Submariner Date ref. 16610 from the late-1990s captures the pure essence of the classic Submariner — a 40 mm stainless-steel tool watch with timeless dive watch proportions and the iconic Cyclops date at 3 o’clock that made this reference a favourite for over two decades of production. Its matte black dial and aluminium bezel insert recall the historical spirit of Rolex’s professional diver lineage, while the Oyster bracelet with Fliplock clasp carries that familiar Rolex presence on the wrist.

This example is well-worn and lived a true live with some battle scars from scratches. It has been back to Rolex in 2013 where the case and bracelet were polished - note there is some sag in the bracelet as well. For this price its an excellent way to get into a neo-vintage Rolex that has many stories to tell.
