The Oyster Perpetual Date Ref. 15505 is a distinctly elegant expression of Rolex’s mid-century design language, executed here in a warm and under appreciated combination of stainless steel and 14k yellow gold. This reference was produced in the early 1980s and captures the transitional moment between vintage and more contemporary case profiles, while retaining the charm and proportions of the earlier models.
The smooth bezel pairs beautifully with the champagne dial, which often develops subtle patina over time, adding to its vintage appeal. Marked T Swiss T at 6 o'clock. With its 34mm case size, it strikes a refined balance. The watch comes on an aftermarket leather strap.
