Rolex - 1950s Chronograph 2508

WHAT WE LOVE:

The Rolex Chronograph 2508 is one of the earliest and most historically important Rolex chronograph wristwatches, representing the brand’s formative years before the Daytona. Produced across the late 1930s through the 1950s, the reference 2508 was among the first Rolex chronographs to feature two pushers and a two-register dial layout, establishing the configuration that would later define classic chronographs. 

This example in 18k pink gold carries a soft elegance that contrasts beautifully with its sporting function. The case measures approximately 36mm, which was considered notably large for the era and remains well-proportioned even by modern standards.

The bronze tone dial is clean, with twin recessed sub-dials — one for small seconds and the other for the 30-minute chronograph counter. There is some minor patina on the dial expected for its age.
