WHAT WE LOVE:
The IWC Ingenieur Dual Time IW324402 is a subtle evolution of one of IWC’s most iconic lines — the Ingenieur — now equipped with a practical second time zone complication and modern case proportions. Inspired by Gerald Genta’s 1970s designs, the watch maintains the integrated case aesthetic and industrial appeal that defined the original SL models, but it tempers that presence with a slimmer, more wearable profile.
At 43mm, the case is crafted from brushed stainless steel and features the distinctive five-bore bezel, angular lugs, and a recessed crown protector. The dial is crisp and legible, with applied indices, luminous sword hands, and a bold second time zone hand in white. A 24-hour track along the periphery lets you read home time at a glance, while local time is adjusted via the crown.
WHAT'S INSIDE:
Powering the IW324402 is the IWC Caliber 35720, an automatic movement based on the Sellita SW300-1. It offers 42 hours of power reserve, hacking seconds, and independent hour adjustment, allowing you to set local time without disrupting the main or GMT hands — perfect for jet setters.
