WHAT WE LOVE: 

In the 1960s as the selection by NASA of the proper gear to wear in space was taking place, a rivalry endured between Bulova and Omega. The attempt made by Bulova was ultimately futile, Omega took the prize job and the story was thought to have ended in 1965 when the selection was made. Bulova was unwilling to let the matter go, and surreptitiously supplied Astronaut Dave Scott with their contender after the crystal popped off his NASA-issued Speedmaster during training. So, while not officially sanctioned, the Bulova travelled from Florida to Space, to the surface of the moon and then came home. The original Bulova ‘moonwatch' sold at auction in 2015 and a year later the homage Bulova was released.
