Years ago, Marathon began a project to celebrate Canada's 140th Confederation anniversary for the Canadian Department of Defence, resulting in the Red Maple GSAR, a limited-edition hit among watch enthusiasts globally, selling out quickly and making a significant impact.

However, a surprising find was recently made in their La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland factory - a set of unused Red Maple dials. Recognizing their value, Marathon decided to create something exceptional.

Thus, the Red Maple Anthracite GSAR was born, with a limited production of just 72 watches, enhancing their uniqueness and collectability. This series marks the final use of the cherished Red Maple dials, ensuring these watches' lasting distinctiveness and rarity.
