WHAT WE LOVE:
The Tudor Black Bay Pro is one of the most purposeful releases from Tudor in recent years — a watch that strips things back to pure functionality while still carrying strong vintage inspiration. Drawing clear influence from early expedition and explorer watches, it leans heavily into that utilitarian aesthetic. At 39mm, the case wears compact but substantial, with a thickness that reflects its robust construction.
The fixed steel 24-hour bezel, bold lume plots, and signature yellow GMT hand give it a distinct identity without feeling forced. It is not trying to be flashy — it is designed to be read quickly and used properly. On the fabric strap, it arguably feels at its most authentic. Lightweight, comfortable, and slightly rugged, the strap complements the watch’s tool-watch DNA far better than the bracelet, giving it that expedition-ready feel.
WHAT’S INSIDE:
At its core is the Tudor Manufacture Calibre MT5652, a COSC-certified automatic movement with a true GMT function. Unlike caller-style GMTs, this allows the local hour hand to jump independently, making it highly practical for travel.
The movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and offers an impressive 70-hour power reserve, along with a silicon balance spring for enhanced durability and anti-magnetic resistance.
