WHAT WE LOVE:
The Omega Seamaster 300M Apnea Chronograph is one of the most unconventional pieces in Omega’s diver lineup — purpose-designed with the input of legendary free diver Jacques Mayol. The name "Apnea" refers to breath-hold diving, and this model stands out thanks to its seven-disc timing display, which rotates to count up to 7 minutes of apnea — the typical duration of a freediver’s breath-hold.
Encased in robust stainless steel and rated to 300 metres of water resistance, the 2595.50.00 blends Omega’s trusted Seamaster architecture with a novel complication and dive-specific functionality. With a helium escape valve, skeleton hands, and wave pattern dial, it stays true to the iconic Seamaster DNA — but with a distinct and rare twist.
WHAT’S INSIDE:
Powering this unique chronograph is the Omega Caliber 3601, a self-winding movement based on the ETA 2892-A2, modified specifically to enable the Apnea timing disc at 3 o’clock. The movement also features a traditional central chronograph seconds hand and a 60-minute counter. The crown at 10 o'clock operates the disc reset function, further emphasizing the tool nature of this piece.
