WHAT WE LOVE:
In 1995, James Bond first wore the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in GoldenEye and the partnership between 007 and Omega has continued through every Bond film since. The "60 Years of James Bond" edition, launched in 2022 and delivered through 2023, marks six decades of Bond on screen with a Seamaster Diver 300M that is simultaneously the most deeply Bond-referential and the most directly wearable of all the special editions produced for the franchise. The blue oxalic-anodised aluminium dial, its surface laser-engraved with a wave pattern inspired by the original 1995 Seamaster, carries skeleton rhodium-plated hands and the lollipop seconds hand in white-varnished aluminium that became a Seamaster signature.
The domed box-shaped sapphire crystal, carried over from the No Time To Die titanium edition, replicates the optical character of the vintage Plexiglas crystals rather than the flat modern sapphire of the standard Seamaster 300M. On the brushed steel mesh bracelet, referencing the titanium mesh of the 007 Edition, this is a watch that makes the Bond connection without sacrificing any of the Seamaster's intrinsic character. Water resistance is 300 metres via the helium escape valve and screw-down crown.
