WHAT WE LOVE:
The Omega Seamaster 300M needs no introduction — it is one of the most recognisable dive watch's in the world, but the ref. 210.22.42.20.03.001 is the Seamaster at its most elevated. A stainless steel case with solid 18K yellow gold bezel and crown, blue polished ceramic dial, and a blue rubber strap carries the whole composition with a warmth and seriousness that the all-steel version, for all its virtues, cannot quite match.
The Ceragold bezel diving scale is the defining technical detail of this reference. The process fills the engraved scale markings with molten gold that bonds at a molecular level to the ceramic surface. The result is a bezel that cannot scratch, chip, or fade — the gold is inside the ceramic, not on top of it. It is a genuinely innovative solution to the longstanding limitation of metal-insert bezels, and the finished result is visually exceptional.
The blue polished ceramic dial is laser-engraved with the Seamaster's iconic wave pattern — a surface treatment that only ceramic enables and that gives the dial an animated, light-catching quality unique to the modern 300M. The skeleton hands and raised applied hour markers are yellow gold-plated with white Super-LumiNova fill, and the overall colour composition — deep blue ceramic, warm gold hands and bezel, white lume — is among the most considered in the brand's current dive watch range.
