Raising Awareness In Support Of Cancer Victims & Their Families

BOLDR Supply Company has started an initiative to raise awareness and contribute funds towards fighting cancer. The project is inspired by real life experiences of members of the company and how cancer affects the physical health of its victims, with even larger detrimental effects on the mental health of patients and family members.

The Pink Fighter Project (PFP) was kicked off last month, with two brand new BOLDR Venture models. BOLDR and FIVE:45 will donate 25% of sales to cancer-related charities. FIVE:45 is supporting this project by offering 10 of  the "Boldr Pink Fighter Project Venture Earth" model which is in a limited edition of only 100 watches.

Super tough & lightweight, the PFP Venture Earth features a recycled titanium case in a custom grey colourway with pink hands to commemorate cancer awareness, along with a matching NATO strap. Each watch is also accompanied by a pink ribbon pin for you to wear and spread the message.

On the heels of raising funds for Covid-19 relief charities via the Venture Field Medic, BOLDR Supply Company founder Leon Leong realised that the company’s resources could be further channeled towards a cause that is amongst the most difficult challenges humans have to grapple with - multiple forms of cancer. The sheer heartbreak, confusion, grief, and irreparable damage caused by cancer are not often fought alone, but together with loved ones who watch helplessly from the sidelines.

Being a company that values giving back to society, BOLDR decided to contribute its resources to support the on-going research and initiatives to battle cancer. This subject is also personal to Leon, having been through years of heartache as he witnessed his mother battle with nose cancer. “When someone you love dearly is fighting cancer, it is equally devastating regardless of whether they fight bravely or crippled with fear. It pained me to see her facing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other debilitating forms of treatment because of its devastating effects physically and mentally.”

Raising awareness also plays a major role in sounding the alarm for prevention by early detection. “If we are able to use our platform to raise awareness and contribute towards finding a cure, we consider it our responsibility to do so,” says Leon. “Everyone has to face the fear of death but very often we do it alone, not realising that someone around us may be looking for assurance and a listening ear. We should be talking about cancer and death and many other human challenges a lot more, as we are all fighting together. PFP is BOLDR’s way of contributing to the fight.”
