WHAT WE LOVE:

One of the earliest Rolex Submariner models, this model was in production until 1962 and is easily distinguished from nearly all of the Submariners that came after it by its lack of crown guards and smaller size.

This example has an incredibly tropical dial, nearly completely obscuring the dial text including the Rolex logo. This model has been carefully restored by Classic Watch Repair in Hong Kong, the work carried out included a service of the movement, careful restoration and repainting of the hands and supplying the aftermarket bezel insert. The dial, crown, case and movement are all original to the watch.
