The Dynamic's defining physical characteristic is the elliptical "Unishell" case: an ergonomic oval form designed by computer modelling to match the anatomical profile of the wrist, with the case opening from the dial side rather than the caseback. The crown is set flush with the case band to avoid interrupting the continuous elliptical profile.

The ref. 166.079 is the day-date variant — the more feature-complete of the Dynamic references, with both numerical date and day-of-week displays carried in separate apertures at the lower right. At 41.5mm × 36mm the case reads as large by the standards of the period and wears with a presence that its oval form makes surprisingly comfortable.

WHAT’S INSIDE:

Omega Calibre 752 — 24-jewel automatic movement, day and date function, centre seconds.
